Episode 11 : The legend of Rodimus
This right here is child abuse plain and simple. Dr Jones just lowered Kicker (as a small child) down a shaft on another planet. WHAT SORT OF MESSAGE IS THAT.
Rodimus traveled to the future...WHY IS THIS JUST BEING MENTIONED NOW. Time travels possible and your worried about power....Go mine the past or the future. Jeez, do I have to think of everything.
There's an Autobot school (...does that mean they have recess...) can that be the next show rather than Cybertron? Or is "Autobot school" like Bending school on Futurama.

Just an utter lack of compassion there from Ironhide. Kicker confess' that his dad lost him on an Energon finding expedition, Ironhides reaction is "So, get over it". Hey kids, you know when your parents make bad choices and put you in bad situations, well its really your fault, get over it.
Oh, Ironhide was just being tough on him for his own good. KICKER GET OUT OF THERE, THIS IS AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP, YOU CAN DO BETTER, YOU HAVE ESP.
Oh and Megatron's waterboarding Starscream's memory back or something.
And Rodimus has returned from the future (I wonder if he knows a lot about history)
Episode 12 : Crisis in Jungle City
A quiet episode so far this one, There's an Energon mine in the jungle that's under attack. So far that's it.
Terrorcons have taken over the Energon tower. Everyone has stupidly large shoulder cannons, I keep expecting someone to turn round quickly and smack someone else in the face with a gun barrel.
Prime destroyed the Energon tower and cultural landmarks so Megatron couldn't have it.
A pragmatic, if not a smart decision.
Episode 13 : Kicker beware
Megatron wants Kicker.
Kickers on the moon with Ironhide.
Megatron fights Optimus.
Rodimus is hanging out with Landmine & Prowl refusing to help....until the end where he takes a few pot shots at Cyclonus.
Kickers gone with Demolisher and the Terrorcons for reasons which seem dumb as Skorpinok and Alpha Q want them dead.
Primes drone helicopter saved Kicker, the Energon tower is operational and they saved lunar cities Omnicons. I don't think I've even mentioned Misha yet, who seems to exist just so Kicker has someone to talk with.
Well that's the end of season 1
There are three factions, and they all seem incompetant at best. The Autobots are able to powerlink, which apart from being a toy gimmick doesnt seem to make them stronger or faster (nor more alive) Optimus has power core combiner limbs for unknown reasons whilst Kicker has Enegron ESP and daddy issues.
Rodimus is essentially unused so far.
Alpha Q has created his own problems by resurrecting Skorpinok and Megatron, Starscream is a shell of what he once was Demolisher has no clue which side he wants to be on.
There are somethings I like, but most of this is a mess.
I'm experiencing a similar feeling to the last time I did this in that I want to play with toys whilst watching this stuff. Sadly I'm not at home, there are no transformers with me (that was an oversight) and I don't think the few stores that are in this village have any I could go buy...Plus I don't really want to take a break, The more breaks I take the longer this will take and I really don't want to lose tomorrow (when I can do fun things like go to the video arcade) because I was up till 3am doing this.

Season 2!
Without pausing I'm straight into season 2. This first disc has 8 episodes, which is about 2 hrs 40mins of content. Its 12:15 now so after this disc I might take a break. Lets see how it goes.
Episode 14 : Energon grid
Carlos is back again to give his now customary "something bads coming" schtick.
Demolisher just explained to Megatron that humans only get one life...Megs thinks that's dumb...but its a quiet decade for him if he hasn't died a couple of times.
Ironhide is struggling with the short human lifespan as well. Essentially saying if your only here for 80 years whats the point.
Weird.
Oh and someone called Blackout has turned up. Seems to be a Soundwave analogue. I'm guessing back in the early 2000's it was difficult to work out how to do that sort of character. They haven't really used mass displacement in this or Armada, Also Walkmans are pretty much obsolete at this point, and MP3 players are in their infancy and really small.
Back to the episode we have Terrorcons guarding stuff. Rodimus has just shown up to battle Megatron. Whilst Kicker has fed the Terrorcons an Energon star and now they are BFF's
Kickers tame Terrorcons get collected by a Cybertronian ship, Kicker doesn't care who is on the ship, Ironhide wants to track them.
It's Rodimus' ship BTW.

Alpha Q is kinda disturbing, he moves in an unnatural way.
Episode 15 : Rodimus, Friend or Foe
We start this off with a funky disco beat, odd choice there.
As it accompanies things flying into an Energon grid......
Cyclonus is now Snowcat....what, why, Is Cyclonus bi-polar? Schizophrenic?
Is it just his online name? I really want to know.
Hotshot admires Rodimus....that'll end badly IMO.
OK, so we're finally getting somewhere. The Terrorcons were made out of Unicron by Alpha Q, so there essentially Sharkticons. I can get behind that.
OK that was a "returning from an ad break" interstitial for Hotshot...is that a thing in season 2?
Rodimus drops the bombshell "Unicron must be rebuilt, that is the order of things"There is a certain logic to that, in that everything needs an equal and opposite force, that's kinda the origin of the Transformers..
Primus could never defeat Unicron, just trap him in an inert form....
But now Rodimus isn't making sense. Unicron must be rebuilt so that Alpha Q cant control him....
erm WHAT? Hotshot is totally right here, someone needs to stop this Rodimus idiot.
Energon stars are the CR chamber of this season. Doesn't matter how injured you are take two of these and call Nurse Ratchet in the morning.
So now we have 4 factions. Rodimus, Optimus, Megatron & Alpha Q. I have no idea whats going on.
I do like the sense of scale between Kicker and Ironhide. That kinda works.
Episode 16 : Go for Unicron
So Skorpinok is being tortured whilst Snowcat skies around on the Energon grid.

hes going to rescue Skorpinok.....
I'm confused.
WOW we FINALLY get a name for Kicker's Mom as his Dad names the ship he just built "The Miranda 2" for her....
Oh and Misha's back too.
She's not talking to another woman or anything but there she is.
( OK I'll admit i'm lost with where we are. I went to make dinner (TV is load enough to here in there) but the DVD is on play all so this may or may not still be episode 16. If it is it feels like its being going on for ever.)
Anyway, someone just blew up (Alpha Q I think) & the Autobots are flying home. Kicker & Misha seem to have saved the day or something.
Episode 17 : The return of Demolisher

that was all one episode. That seemed to last forever...I may need a break soon.
Prime and company are on a ship looking for Unicron,
Demolisher has new armor (a new toy deco) and is going after Prime.
An exceptional piece of piloting leaves the Autobots stuck between two glaciers.
The ship is under fire, but Kicker seems to have freed it.
God help me i think i miss the Minicons.
At least they had some kind of personality, this endless quest for energon has no payoff.
The Evolved Terrorcons turn on the Decepticons - apparently these are Dinobots - and Misha just slaughtered them using the Energon Grid.
WHAT!!!!!!
So Unicron is split in two.....
Episode 18 : A Tale Of Two Heroes
Right, So Megatron has Unicrons torso whilst Alpha Q has his head. Gotcha, we're back on track.
Rodimus visits Optimus.they seem to believe that Unicron will be controlled by someone...are they forgetting he was an autonomous killing machine. Rodimus wants to restore Quintessa.... and is a big wobbly dick.
Prime is approaching Unicron, meanwhile Ironhide has stowed away with Rodimus and is inside Unicron's head with Alpha Q.
Episode 19 : Battle stations
Prime is attacking Unicron.
Whilst i'm watching this i'm trying to select which figure I will ultimately buy to represent me viewing the series. Armada was straightforward, It had to be Hotshot. I also picked up Perceptor.
This series (So far) is harder to determine who I would want. The obvious one is Ironhide, but then I'd need a Jetfire to powerlink with.....

Meanwhile Megatron is piloting Unicron towards Cybertron.
Oh Hey, there's Rad...I wonder if he will tell us about the Transformers.
Episode 20 : Alpha Q : Identity

Anything eaten by Unicron can be brought back. OK, that's a stretch but lets go with it. Alpha Q's people blew up there planet and put Unicron into a coma....
OK FLAG ON THE PLAY.
If Quintessa was blown up it wasn't consumed by Unicron so it cant be brought back.
Alpha Q's a fucking Moron.
Kicker sees through Alpha Q's disguise,and beats the hell out of him with the Energon Sabre...this suddenly got more interesting.
OOOOh
now we've got Shockblast (why not Shockwave??)
this is actually pretty good.
Kicker convinces Alpha Q to fight Unicrons conciousness, meanwhile Shockblast escapes.
