The Toy Stacks are open, with tons of galleries of toys you may remember, some you've never seen before and a few that will make you stare, scared for your very sanity.
Open the page up HERE Throughout November, The Toy Stacks will be looking at the OMFG line from October Toys. OMFG (Outlandish Mini Figure Guys) are all based on designs contributed by members of the October Toys Forum (sadly defunct now for the time being), and is brought to life via Kickstarter.
Instead of going wave by wave, We've set up week one with the painted characters from the Oilhouse shelves. Zbots were small action figures made by Galoob and first released in 1992. Galoob released four series of Zbots from 1992 to 1994. Galoob also created a number of Zbot vehicles alongside the figures. The heroes were the ZBots (Designed to Defend!). The villains were the Voids (Made to Menace!). Each side has their own logo, usually imprinted on each robot's torso, although some do not have a visible logo. The Z-Bots' logo is a "Z", while the Voids' is a stylized "V".
Each Zbot design came in two different color sets, each listed as an individual character. Additionally, the Zbots often outnumbered the Voids two to one. Generally, the packages came with three of the figures each, with either two Voids and a Zbot, or two Zbots and a Void. With massive thanks to Terry Hewitson, we have a collection of the original Playmates Skeleton Warriors toyline for youselves!
Skeleton Warriors were first released by Playmates in 1994. Some of the figures were rereleased by Re:Play in 2002. Sadly the second series of figures that were never released by Playmates were not released by Re:Play. |
