What's the Franchise you've chosen?

Monster in My Pocket is a media franchise developed by Morrison Entertainment Group, headed by Joe Morrison and John Weems (two former senior executives at Mattel).
The focus is on monsters and legendary creatures from religion, mythology, literary fantasy, science fiction, cryptids and other anomalous phenomena. Monster in My Pocket produced trading cards, comic books, books, toys, a board game, a video game, and an animated special, along with music, clothing, and various other items.
The line proved controversial for various reasons and many changes were implemented that took it away from its original mythological focus

How did you get into it?
In th early 90's, I loved anything that was big, bright colours and monsters of ny sort. So, MIMP was a complete sell to one such as I.

What's your favourite media / toy / item from it?
Tengu, in purple. Tengu in the comic some how stayed in my mind with his odd speech pattern and funky design. Since then, Tengu has always been my favorite,

How would you summarize the franchise?
Do you like monsters? Then bloody get some. There is a point based game too... but who cares about that?
Picture
What's the weirdest part?
The monsters as time went on got odder and odder. However, the comic / annual (written by Dwayne McDuffie) is a wierd concept, with the monsters being shrunk down and living in a kids bedroom.  Yep.

Adam "Gruffy" Nicol is the High Lord Protector of the Old Oilhouse, and has screamed at things not working right with it since the day it was born. His knowledge and love of 90's tat and pop culture borders on the worryingly psychotic....

You can find him on Twitter and Instagram and on deviantart
